Refined Foundations

A Unified Real Estate Ecosystem
When I stepped into this project, I found a fragmented product experience shaped by multiple user typesbrokers, agents, and clientsand incomplete design solutions left behind by a previous group. My goal was to bring cohesion and clarity, starting with a strong foundation and ending with a seamless user experience for everyone involved.

Overview

The app was built to serve three very different user groups, each with its own set of goals and needs. However, inconsistent visual elements, disjointed flows, and missing design patterns were causing friction at every step.
I was brought in to lead the design effort—evaluating existing assets, creating a unified design system, and refining the user flows to support each user type. It was part design rescue, part experience rebuild.

The Challenge

The prior group's incomplete handoff left gaps in navigation, component consistency, and overall usability. User flows were clunky and disjointed, making the app hard to navigate.

Serving brokers, agents, and clients within one app meant designing for three sets of behaviors and expectations, without alienating any single user group. Balancing these needs required thoughtful hierarchy and interaction design.

The Solution

I started by refining the brand system and creating a scalable design guide rooted in the brand’s existing identity, refining color, type, spacing, and iconography to form the core of a consistent design system.

With the system in place, I turned to simplifying navigation and enhancing usability. Each user flow was evaluated, reorganized, and tested for clarity and ease—creating intuitive journeys across all user types.

Final thoughts

This project was a reminder that good design starts with clarity and alignment. By establishing a strong foundation and focusing on purposeful navigation, we turned a fractured experience into one that feels seamless and reliable. It was a rewarding challenge—and one I’m proud to have helped solve.
